Programa Para o Futuro's Learning Resources

One of the primary objectives of this web site is to provide our students with an interactive learning environment where they can learn and master new skills and present what they learn to each other and the larger community in Brazil and around the world. To achieve this objectives, we have integrated the following learning resources and on-line instructional tools into the web site. Many of these resources are open to the public and we encourage you to explore our learning environments and on-line tools.

On-line web-editor that the students and staff will use to create their personal profiles. The Brazilian Portuguese version of this tool, developed by Edit-WRX, was created by Eric Rusten and Tania Ogasawara for use with this project. In addition to creating their personal profiles, each student will use the tool to publish a Portfolio of their Projects on the web site as a way of sharing the results of their work with each other and to help them get jobs. Each student will also use this and other tools to create and maintain their individual web sites.

They will publish information in four topic areas: My Thoughts, My Future, My Projects, and My Mentor. The tool used for the virtual journal is called Coranto. The Brazilian Portuguese version of this open-source software was prepared by Eric Rusten with the translation provided by Eduardo Junqueira as a contribution to the program.
